This week is an RR week according to Friel’s recommended 3 on 1 off schedule. However, with my knee issue reducing my hours the past few weeks, I am going to try to get a few more hours in than what RR normally calls for (4-7 hours). The intensity of these hours will be lower since I will include more E2 rides and more speed/form workouts. Saturday will be the highest intensity workout.

Week of 28th: R & R or Build 1 Starts
I didn’t do very good last week because most of the week I was not feeling 100%. My whole body was sore. I think it had to do with snowboarding three days. Last Thursday I spent a few hours trying to learn new tricks on a snowboard (mainly 540) and boy did my body pay the price. I hurt all over.
This week is suppose to be an RR week, but since I took so much time off last week, it’s time I start Build 1 period. I am going to experiment with the blog format. You can find the weekly workout under the pages tab to the left, or click the link below:
The Week Off
And I still got up at 4:30 a.m to go to the gym. How dedicated (or stupid) am I?
Couple of good things happened this past weekend. First, Michigan lost to OSU. I can usually support Michigan during this game, but I could not this year. Being a MSU fan and listening to Hart’s comments, I wanted nothing more for him to leave UM 0-4 against OSU. Not only did they lose, Hart was also a non-factor. Actually, the entire UM offense was a non-factor.
Oh, before I continue, I’d like to point out that I brought my dad to MSU/UM game (along with my brother). We had awesome seats, about 20 yards back from 40 yard line. What a great son I am. But wait. My dad get’s tickets to UM/OSU game and who does he bring? My brother! Not only are they tickets, but they are field tickets. So I’m sitting in the bar and I see them on TV standing in the tunnel as the players run out. After the game, they have dinner with Long, Kraus and Rivas (and their families).
My brother barely watches college football. I had a long talk with my dad on that one.
So, Sunday we (brother and B.I.L) take my dad to the Lion’s game. Belated birthday present (August) due to my mom’s sickness. What a painful game that was to watch. The atmosphere at NFL games is NOTHING compared to that of college football games. I just have real no emotional attachment to the Lion’s; but when it comes to my Sparty’s, I cry every fall and cheer every spring.
PS. I’m typing this post on the internet via PS3. My computer’s operating system (vista) failed for some unknown reason. I hate Vista, I want XP back. Using a PS3 for internet works, but not all that efficient.
